Hey there, I’m Nathan!
I’m super excited to share my story with you and give you a little insight into what my first 6 months with the Nashville Home Guru team were like.
Here’s some background for you… I grew up in a small-to-mid-sized town about an hour east of Nashville named Cookeville, Tennessee. Throughout my whole life, I’ve lived in the Middle Tennessee area and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I graduated from Tennessee Tech University in May of 2021 with a major in International Business and Cultures.
I planned to assume a role at Chick-fil-A Corporate right out of college. I had worked with the company since I was 16 and had a position already lined up. It was right before I was supposed to sign for the job that I chose to make a major career change. I had a glimpse into what it was like to work for corporate America and knew that all the red tape wasn’t for me.
In August of 2021, I chose to move to Nashville, TN, and get my real estate license. Since I was young, I had always enjoyed forcing my parents to attend open houses with me. I knew that real estate was a good fallback plan but little did I know, it would become a career that I thoroughly enjoyed.
While I was working on completing my real estate license, I was bartending at a restaurant on 12th South called BarTaco. It was a month into the job and I had just gotten to work when I started socializing with a man named Patrick Higgins. I soon learned that he was a leader for a real estate team within Compass. He gave me his number and a few weeks later we went to lunch to talk about me joining the Nashville Home Guru team.
Not far into the conversation, I knew that it was going to be a good fit for me. I wanted to work with a team who was competitive, well known, and that helped me in meeting my goals. In October of 2021, I joined the Nashville Home Guru team and was fully onboarded by the first week of November.
6 months into 2022, I was able to have 9 clients under contract totaling about $4 Million in sales all thanks to the Nashville Home Guru team and their lead generation system. Without leads being provided, that number would have been much closer to zero. What I found the most beneficial was the mentorship program, lead generation, and the culture of the team. Help is just a phone call away and there were always plenty of agents, mentors, and admin to help answer any question I had. Most agents say the first 6 months are the hardest, I would have to agree but I think that my decision to join the Nashville Home Guru team helped make those first 6 months so much easier.
I’m proud to be a Nashville Home Guru Real Estate Agent and look forward to seeing where I go in my real estate career. Being 21 years old, I have a lot of life ahead of me but know that this team will help me reach my goals in life. I encourage you to reach out and see if our team is a good fit for you!
