A true New Jersey Native whose friends all call “Jersey,” originally from the Jersey Shore (the real Jersey shore, not like what you’ve seen on TV) I originally got the nickname when I moved to Michigan. I was the CFO of a Talent Company at the time and was needed at the corporate office to help open another ten to twelve offices nationwide. At the time I was only supposed to be in Michigan for a couple months and then move back to New Jersey. As fate would have it I ended up staying in Michigan for two years.
In 2006, I moved to Nashville and was able to keep my position with the same company, working remotely from home. This was before working from home became the new normal for so many people nowadays! I thought about going back home to New Jersey in 2008, but as luck would have it I decided to stay and become a Nashville Roller Girl. I took the name Jersey Jackhammer as my skater name, so at this point everyone here was calling me Jersey as well. After skating a little over 3 years I decided to hang up my skates. That same year a teammate of mine, who happened to be a realtor, helped me purchase my very first home. Another friend of mine just had a home built in East Nashville and there was a plot of land right next to hers just waiting to be built on. We got in touch with the builder and began the process on my very own brand new construction home in East Nashville in 2011. This was just before the market started to pick up. I guess you can say that I was at the right place at the right time. Talk about equity! This was probably the single most profitable move and decision that I could have made at the time. It was a starter home for sure, but the best part is that I bought it all on my own at 31 and had it paid off in 6 years!
After closing on my home and after thoroughly paying attention to the entire process my real estate agent had done to get me to that point, I thought that it was something I would be interested in and could excel at. A seed was planted. However, it wasn’t until a year later when another realtor friend started discussing the possibilities and opportunities. She talked it up and I was hooked! I was seriously wanting to make a change of career paths at the time too so the timing was great. Since I am extremely detail oriented and organized by nature it seemed to be a perfect fit! It was especially beneficial helping first time home buyers because I knew what it felt like to go through the process. I spread the word that I was getting into real estate and friends began to flock. It was those friends and their referrals that gave me a chance to prove myself, which in turn gave me the experience and confidence I needed to continue on the path. It was then my real estate career started to take off.
Eventually I sold my first home for double what I paid for it and 7 years later we moved to Murfreesboro. Which brings me closer to where we are today. After finding out we were pregnant with our daughter, we moved into a bigger home within the same subdivision, as a family. I’ve now been selling real estate for almost a decade with nearly 100 homes sold. After becoming a top producing Agent in Middle Tennessee from 2016 to 2018, I decided to take a hiatus to be fully present and enjoy being a mom.
In 2021 I decided to get back to work. After considering my options, I joined the Nashville Home Guru Team and have loved being a part of this team ever since! It’s actually the only team I interviewed with, simply because it felt like a great fit right from the start. After speaking with Patrick and meeting with Fabian and Tim, I knew this is where I belonged. The camaraderie from this group is like no other! For the first time in real estate I feel that I am surrounded by like-minded folks who are always there when you need assistance, or even just to vent. We actually all like one another, which is hard sometimes especially since we are an eclectic group of individuals. These are some of the most dedicated, driven, and professional people I know! My Team Leader Adam Spivey is an amazing agent as well and is always there when I need a listening ear or advice! We also meet as a team every now and then for a gathering or get together on a social level. It’s nice to hang out away from the office once in a while as it helps bring us closer as a team!
In addition to real estate, I am also very passionate about fitness, nutrition, health and well-being. I also hold a certification in Personal Training and Nutrition as that is what feeds my soul. I love being in nature and taking part in outdoor activities, especially hiking. I’m also into all things Disney! Maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle is what keeps me successful and makes me feel fulfilled.
